Whitelisting and Spark Ads fees for Bangkok creators in 2026

By Mai Influence

A brand books your post, pays, you deliver. A week later the account manager messages: can we also run it as a Spark Ad from your handle for 60 days. You say sure. You just gave away four figures of value for free.

Whitelisting is the part of 2026 Bangkok creator deals that leaves the most money on the table. The brand is not asking for a post anymore. They are asking to rent your audience, your face, and your handle as the sender of a paid ad. That is a different product. It has a different price.

Here is how to price it, by tier, with the clauses that stop it from eating you alive.

What whitelisting actually is

Three terms get used interchangeably and they are not the same thing.

  1. Boosting: the brand pushes paid spend behind your organic post, from their ad account, using your post as creative. Your handle stays the sender. The post still lives on your grid.
  2. Spark Ads (TikTok) or Partnership Ads (Meta): same idea, but the brand runs it as a formal ad with your authorisation code or partnership tag. Your handle is the sender. Shows up in Ads Library.
  3. Full whitelisting / allowlisting: the brand gets ongoing permission to run ads from your handle, often with the right to make dark posts (ads that never appear on your grid). This is the one that hides the volume of ads being run on your name.

The money question is not technical. It is how much reach, for how long, under whose handle. If your name is the sender, you charge for it.

Bangkok rate ranges in 2026

The market in Bangkok has settled around a multiplier on the base post fee, with a time cap. Flat upfront, not revenue share. Thai brands pay invoices more cleanly on flat fees and dispute percentages.

Nano (5K to 20K followers)

  • Boosting from brand ad account, your post, 30 days: typical 1.3x the post fee, top quartile 1.5x.
  • Spark Ads / Partnership Ads, 30 days: typical 1.5x, top quartile 1.8x.
  • Full allowlisting with dark post rights, 60 days: typical 1.8x, top quartile 2.2x.

Micro (20K to 100K followers)

  • Boosting, 30 days: typical 1.5x the post fee, top quartile 1.8x.
  • Spark / Partnership Ads, 30 days: typical 1.8x, top quartile 2.2x.
  • Full allowlisting, 60 days: typical 2.2x, top quartile 2.8x.

Macro (100K+ followers)

  • Boosting, 30 days: typical 1.8x the post fee, top quartile 2.2x.
  • Spark / Partnership Ads, 30 days: typical 2.2x, top quartile 2.8x.
  • Full allowlisting, 60 days: typical 2.8x, top quartile 3.5x. Add 0.5x for each extra 30 days.

Those multipliers apply to your base in-platform rate (Instagram feed, TikTok video, whatever the deliverable was). If the campaign is cross-platform, each platform gets its own whitelisting multiplier. The brand will ask for a package discount. A reasonable one is 10 percent off the second platform, not 50.

If you do not have a settled base rate yet, build one first using the calculator in your free creator profile on Mai Influence, then layer the multiplier on top. Walking into a whitelisting negotiation without a base number is how you end up anchored to whatever the brand says first.

The clauses that protect you

Price is half the game. The other half is what you are letting them do with your handle. These five clauses go in every whitelisting agreement, no exceptions.

Price the usage. Protect the handle. Everything else is paperwork.

  1. Time cap. 30 or 60 days, written. After that the authorisation code is revoked. If they want more time, that is a new invoice at the renewal rate.
  2. Spend cap. Yes, really. Cap the total media spend they can run behind your creative, usually at 10x the post fee. Above that, it is a new fee tier. A brand running 2 million THB of spend from your handle is a different exposure than 100,000 THB.
  3. Dark post disclosure. You get a weekly list of every dark post variant running under your handle. Most Bangkok brands never offer this. You ask for it.
  4. Category exclusivity during the whitelisting window. If they are running your handle as an ad for sunscreen, no other sunscreen brand can book you until the window closes. This protects your rate card downstream.
  5. Legal and brand safety out. If the brand runs something misleading, offensive, or non-compliant with Thai ad disclosure rules, you can revoke immediately with no refund.

Put these in writing before you share the authorisation code. The code is the leverage. Once you share it, your leverage drops to zero.

When to say no

Some briefs are not worth whitelisting at any multiplier.

Say no when the brand will not disclose their ad spend budget range. You cannot price exposure you cannot see. Say no when the category clashes with an existing client you have whitelisting live with. Running two competing sunscreens as ads from your handle inside 30 days damages both deals and your rate. Say no when the brief includes a performance clause (removal if CTR drops below X). You are not an ads account manager, you are a creator. Performance is on their media buyer, not you.

Say yes when the base post fee is already clean, the brand has run clean campaigns with other Bangkok creators you can verify, and they agree to the five clauses above. In that case whitelisting is the highest-margin product you sell. The content is already made. The multiplier is pure margin.

The 24 hour follow-up

One extra move that doubles your conversion rate on whitelisting upsells. After every booked post, send a one-line follow-up on day two: "Flagging if you want to run this as a Partnership Ad from my handle, here is the add-on rate." Half of Bangkok brand briefs do not budget for whitelisting upfront but have the spend sitting in the paid media line. You just move it over. The brand does not have to open a new PO. You bank a 1.5x to 2.2x on content you already shipped.

That one message, sent on time, nets more money across a year than any rate card edit. Price the usage. Protect the handle. Send the follow-up.
