How it works.

Plain answers to the questions brands and talent ask most. If something isn't here, drop us a line.

For brands

How do I book talent?

Drop a brief from your dashboard — title, dates, location, budget range, niche. We turn it into a semantic search and surface the best-fit talent from the roster.

Swipe through the ranked matches, send rate offers to the ones you want, and once they accept you can start the project.

When do I pay?

Payments split 50/50: a 50% deposit when you start the project (locks the dates and confirms talent), and the remaining 50% as a balance after the shoot wraps.

Both charges run through Stripe. You'll get a receipt by email; the line item reads “Mai Influence — [project name] (50% deposit)” or “… (balance)”.

What if I need to cancel?

Cancelling a project refunds 75% of the deposit. The remaining 25% covers Mai Influence' booking fee — we've already committed talent and held dates by that point.

Hit “Cancel project” on the project page. The refund flows back to your card via Stripe within 5–10 business days.

What does Mai Influence charge?

A flat 15% commission on the project total. That's already included in the rates you see — what the brand pays is what gets quoted. Mai Influence is the merchant of record (HK entity), so the invoice comes from us, not from each individual model.

How do I pause or change a project?

On the project page, “Pause project” freezes messaging and calendar updates without losing the talent line-up. Resume any time before wrap.

For per-model changes (someone can't make it day-of), you can pro-rate their rate to 50% or 25%, or drop them entirely — the project total recalculates automatically.

Are my followers' photos used anywhere?

Model handles are agency-only. Brands see follower counts (synced from IG / TikTok), never raw handles. We never publish your brief briefs or talent picks externally.

How do I get booked?

Brands search the roster, send you an offer with a rate, and you decide. You'll see new offers under Invitations with the brand, the dates, the rate, and any niche notes.

Accept to lock it in, or decline. We notify the brand either way. No-replying isn't an option — it shows up as a non-response and hurts future matches.

When do I get paid?

Once the brand pays the wrap balance, your earnings join the next end-of-month payout batch. Payouts run on the last business day of each month via PromptPay or Thai bank transfer.

Check Earnings for the running total, what's queued, and what's been sent.

How do I update my payout details?

On Profile, scroll to “Payout details”. Pick PromptPay (phone number or Thai national ID) or Thai bank (name, account number, account holder). If you skip this, your earnings accrue but the agency can't send them — set it before your first wrap.

What if I can't make a shoot?

Message the brand as soon as you know. The agency can pro-rate you to 50% or 25% depending on how late the change is, or drop you from the booking entirely. Repeated last-minute drops hurt your match score for future briefs.

Are my rates negotiable?

Right now offers come at a fixed rate per brief. If a brand sends you a rate you don't agree with, decline — counter-offer UI is on the roadmap, until then just message the agency.

Payments & payouts

Why HK as the merchant of record?

Mai Influence is set up in Hong Kong while we keep the operation lean. That means the receipts brands see come from a HK entity, not a Thai one. We pay talent gross in THB — there's no withholding deducted, and there's no VAT on the invoice (no Thai VAT registration yet).

Currencies?

Everything is priced and paid in Thai Baht (THB). Stripe handles FX automatically on the brand's card if they're paying from a non-THB account.

How long does a refund take?

Stripe typically returns funds to the original card within 5–10 business days. We don't hold cancellation refunds — they flow directly back through Stripe.

Anything not covered here?

Email hello@maiinfluence.com and we'll get back to you within one business day. For anything urgent during a live shoot (call-time changes, no-shows), use the in-project messages thread — the agency watches those in real time.
