Instagram post rates in Bangkok 2026, the honest number
By Mai Influence
You opened a DM from a Bangkok brand at 10pm. They want "one Instagram post" and they want a number by tomorrow. The wrong move is guessing low so you do not lose the deal. The right move is knowing the market rate for your tier and knowing which multipliers apply before you type a reply.
Here is what one Instagram post pays in Bangkok in 2026, and what the number is really covering. Rates are in THB. Every band assumes a Thai audience, a single grid post or a single Reel, one round of revisions, and no exclusivity.
The number, by follower tier
Rates track your follower tier much more than your niche. A beauty nano and a food nano quote inside 20 percent of each other. The gap widens at the top.
- Nano (5,000 to 20,000 followers): typical 3,500 THB, top-quartile 6,000 THB for a single Reel. Grid photo posts sit about 30 percent lower.
- Micro (20,000 to 100,000 followers): typical 12,000 THB, top-quartile 22,000 THB for a single Reel. Grid posts land near 8,000 THB typical.
- Macro (100,000 to 500,000 followers): typical 45,000 THB, top-quartile 90,000 THB for a Reel, with a floor of 25,000 THB for a single grid post.
- Above 500,000 followers: negotiated per deal, but 120,000 THB is the working floor for a Reel from a Thai creator with steady engagement.
Top-quartile means the top 25 percent of the tier, usually creators with above 3 percent engagement and a track record of driving traceable sales. If your last three brand posts each pulled a saved story from a Tops or a 7-Eleven buyer, you are top quartile whether or not you feel it.
If your engagement is under 1 percent, drop to the typical column. If it is over 5 percent, quote the top-quartile column and hold.

What actually moves your rate
Follower count is the anchor. Six things pull the price up or down from there:
- Engagement rate on your last 10 posts. Above 4 percent adds 20 to 40 percent. Under 1 percent subtracts the same.
- Save and share rate. Brands with a performance team ask for this specifically. High saves on food and beauty push you toward top quartile.
- Audience match. A 15,000-follower creator whose audience is 80 percent Bangkok women aged 22 to 34 can outquote a 40,000-follower creator with scattered SEA reach.
- Turnaround demand. Under 72 hours from brief to publish is a rush fee. Add 30 percent.
- Category risk. Alcohol, supplements, betting, and clinics pay 30 to 50 percent above baseline because fewer creators will touch them.
- Whether the brand wants raw files. Handing over raw footage is a separate line item, not free.
You can price this quickly using the calculator in your free creator profile on Mai Influence; it plugs your tier and multipliers into a range so you do not have to hold the maths in your head at 10pm.
What "one post" means to a brand, and what it should mean to you
When a brand says "one Instagram post" they often mean the post, three stories, an unlisted archive after 30 days, and a right to boost the post as a paid ad. That is not one post. That is four deliverables and a media licence.
Break the ask apart before you quote:
- The post itself, Reel or grid.
- Stories. Standard is three within 24 hours. Each additional story frame is roughly 15 percent of the post rate.
- Archive vs keep live. Keeping live forever is default in Bangkok; a 30-day takedown is a discount you can offer, not a rule.
- Paid boost, also called whitelisting or Spark Ads on TikTok. On Instagram this is Partnership Ads. Add 40 to 100 percent to your rate for a 30-day boost window, 100 to 200 percent for 90 days.
- Repurposing into brand-owned ads. A separate fee, usually 50 to 150 percent of the post rate depending on duration.
If the brand only wanted the post, they would say "organic post only, no boost, no repurpose". Almost none of them do.
The multipliers you are leaving on the table
Most Bangkok creators quote the base number and stop. Brands then add scope in the second email. You collect nothing for the extras because you already anchored low.
The four multipliers to bake into your first quote:
- Exclusivity. No competing brand in the same category for 30, 60, or 90 days. Add 25, 50, and 100 percent respectively.
- Usage window on paid ads. Priced separately from the organic post. Never included by default.
- Bilingual caption. Thai plus English adds 15 to 25 percent. The English is not free, it is a deliverable.
- On-camera brand mention. A verbal call-out with the product name spoken clearly on a Reel is a premium ask. Add 20 percent.
If you only remember one line from this piece, remember this: the base rate is for the post, everything else is a separately priced line item, and it is your job to name each one before the brand asks.

How to quote without freezing
Reply the same evening, even if the reply is a request for the brief PDF. Silence for 48 hours costs you the deal more often than a firm price does.
Your first reply structure:
- Confirm the deliverable in your own words. "One Reel, three story frames, published within seven days."
- Ask three questions: category exclusivity, paid boost window, and whether the brand wants raw footage.
- Send a range, not a single number. "For a Reel plus three stories with no exclusivity and no paid boost, my rate is 14,000 to 18,000 THB. Boost and exclusivity are priced separately once we scope those."
Ranges get you further than single numbers because brands with a bigger budget will meet you at the top, and brands with a smaller one will negotiate honestly at the bottom. A single number tells the brand you are either desperate or bluffing.
The last thing to remember: you are not underpricing to be polite. Every under-quote you send resets the Bangkok market rate for creators in your tier. Charge the number that reflects the tier you actually sit in, and let the brand walk if they cannot meet it. The next brand will.
